A few new photos. Note the addition of new scenery in many of the layout’s sections.

Hoped you enjoyed the fresh new photos of the layout! The DCC system is up and functioning, with the command stations under the old dispatchers panel. Most turnouts on the layout are now controlled by the DCC system as well. The indicator lights by the turnouts are a big aid in aligning the track for operation.

A tour around the layout

A tour of the layout starting at the main entrance and going around the layout in a counter-clockwise fashion. Many new scenery details have been added over the last year. Also note the new DCC system which is up and running and our new dedicated staging area with workshop. Thanks to all the members who have been intrumental in making this happen! Finally, a shout-out to our member Cliff for taking all of these photographs.

Open house : Nov 29 and 30, 2019

If you haven’t had a chance to see the layout in the last couple of years, or you haven’t ever seen it, here is your chance!  We will open to the public Nov 29 (Friday) from 5-8PM and then Nov 30 (Saturday) from 10-3PM.  Just stop by Caboose Stop Hobbies and people there will direct you to the layout.  We are especially excited to show off our scenery work on the branch line (Thanks Charlie) and our newly installed DCC system to control everything (Thanks Mark and Lavern).
